Most of the default fields have validation on them. You can click the button to simply turn them on/off. The button will turn green when you turn on.

Each validation button has a cog icon next to it. This gives you access to the granular responses from external API’s, and the ability to update your own personal settings on things like the number of consonants that can be in a leads name before it’s rejected.

Breakdown of validation lookups

Email

This does a live lookup on the email address and rejects dead, or potentially fraudulent email addresses

Consonants

This looks up the number of consonants used in a name and rejects leads that contain an unusual amount

Vowels

This looks up the number of vowels used in a name and rejects leads that contain an unusual amount.

Identical first name last name

If you add on to the firstname and lastname fields, this will rejects leads that has the same name in both on a single lead

UK Address Replace

This will run a PAF lookup and find the nearest possible address to match the address details on a lead - Note, you need to turn this on for each field that receives address details.

UK Address

This will run a PAF lookup and reject any records that don’t match a PAF address (rather than finding the nearest possible address)

International Address

This will run an address lookup in most countries around the world (over 200 supported)

USA Address

This will run an address lookup in the United States only

HLR

This is a real-time lookup for mobile/cell numbers. It works worldwide. It’s configured in Databowl so that any dead numbers get rejected. Live numbers get accepted. For numbers where the mobile is switched off, it will lookup the number 3 times over a period of 24 hours and reject it if the number doesn’t become live - This applies to mobiles that are out of network, or switched off.

LLV

UK only - This is a real-time lookup for landline numbers in the UK. It will reject any dead, or non-connected landline numbers

TPS

UK only - This is a real-time lookup against the Telephone Preference Service in the UK

CTPS

UK only - This is a real-time lookup against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service in the UK

CombiTPS

UK only - This is a real time lookup against both the TPS and CTPS

CombiTelephone

UK only - This runs a real time lookup against the LLV and HLR on a single field (it knows whether it’s a landline or mobile automatically)

Australian Combi Telephone

Australia only - This runs a real time lookup against mobiles and landlines on a single field (it knows whether it’s a landline or mobile automatically)

Phone

Number length and beginning digits checker relevant to the country campaign is set up in (FREE). This helps you set lead statuses for known number prefixes such as premium rate, mobile, landline etc. as well as checking to ensure the inputted data matches the format of a phone number.
This option however cannot verify the legitimacy of the number, to do that you'd need to use HLR, LLB, TPS or combi services.
