Profanity isn't great when it comes to leads, so lets explore some ways you can help reduce leads with swear words in them.

Rule Groups

A nice easy way to introduce a filter on certain phrases, is through rule groups.

Here you can create a rule that can be shared across multiple campaigns, or just use it on a single one.

You'll build up a list that allows to search for matches, partial matches, match all or none of the examples you input.

Suppression Files

Normally, we use these to avoid certain phone numbers or emails being accepted, but you can also use them for things like profanity filtering if you want exact matches only.

So, if you have a nice big list of phrases you would like to suppress, ideally a CSV file or a spreadsheet you can export to a CSV, then suppression files are what you need.

If you're looking for a good starting point, here's a CSV of some we've used in the past.
