Creating a New Email Sender

Before you can add a new email sender, you need to have a domain setup.

If you haven't done this, you can see our guide for Managing and Adding Domains here.

Once you have the domain added, you can add a new email senders.

Click on the “Responders” option in your sidebar, click “Email Senders” and then click on the “Create New Email Sender” button.

You will now see a new screen where you can add your new sender to your list.

Once created, you will be able to add this sender to messages on existing or future responders.

When creating a new responder, you will need to fill in the fields shown and explained below:

Name: This is a reference name that can be seen within Databowl. It is your way of identifying the sender, but it is not how the sender will show up on messages.

From Email Address: This is the email address the email will appear to come from. You will need to have a domain already set up in order create a “From Email Address”. You can get help setting your email domain up in section 7.5 (Responders > Email Domains).

From Name: This specifies the name the recipient will be able to see. If you are expecting replies, you may want to use the name of whoever will be handling these replies where possible.

Reply Email Address: If you’d like users to be able to reply to your emails, then specify in this box which address you’d like replies to be sent. This can be different to the “From Email Address” field.

Return Path: If you’d like a separate email address to receive bounced messages, enter this here. It helps keep things tidy, especially when you don’t know how many of the email addresses on your list are active.

Manage Email Senders

To manage your different email senders, click on the “Responders” option in your sidebar, then click “Email Senders”.

Here you will see a full list of all email senders that have been setup for all campaigns across your instance of Databowl.

Clicking the “View” icon will show you details about each specific sender, and give you the option to update these details.

From this screen you will also be able to see which responder(s) and message(s) this sender is assigned to.
