How do I remove a user?

If you've got a user account that you no longer want to be able to access the system, this guide is for you.

First, there's no way to delete the user accounts, but what we can do is remove all their roles and privileges so they can not access anything, which is as good as deleting them.

Find the user account

Our users section can be found under Admin > Users.

Here you can search for their name or their email address.

Remove their User Roles

Roles are used to determine what each account should have access to and what actions they can perform. Clicking this icon will show you what the user has

It will look a little like this and all you need to do is click the delete button for any or all roles you want to remove from the user.

Test

Instance owners and administrator can impersonate other users on their Databowl Instance to see what permissions they have and what they can see.

Using this now is useful to confirm that the user no longer has access to anything!
