Please note: This doc is intended for people with some experience in setting connecting APIS either through tools or programming, or for those who know someone who can do it for them.

If you need to commission Databowl to integrate this with your system, just open a new chat with us and we'll discuss.

Before we start

The request must be made via HTTP POST, it can work well with WebHooks in your favourite Apps, third party software or custom code in backend server technology.

We actively support PHP and have a library of tools and examples available here for your developers: https://github.com/Databowl/databowl-php

How to work with the Lead Submission API

Step 1 - Find your Integration Document

If you've already got this, skip to Step 2. Otherwise... Head to your campaign, and grab your integration doc!

For Clients

You can find this under your campaign menu and the three vertical dots dropdown:

It's called Client Integration Document.

For Suppliers

You can find this on your campaign page and under the Sources section and the three horizontal menu dropdown. It's called Integration Document.

Step 2

View the information in the Integration Doc under via Lead, and follow the steps there.

And that's it. No, really, we're not joking.

The integration document will act as a standalone help file for your developers or technical people to work with.

It contains details of the fields that need mapping, formatting and examples, whether they are required fields or not.

There's examples body requests to show you how it should be formatted.

And there's even example responses and a table to explain what any of the error codes will mean.

What if it's not working

Well, we're always here to support you, but if it's not working, the first thing to do is review the response you get and look at the error code descriptions in the document and fix as instructed.

And if you've done all that, the leads should now be flowing in! Nice.
